About the job
Create and spearhead initiatives to increase overall product deployment efficiency within the DevOps and Cloud Engineering team. Partner with the Head of Engineering and CTO (Chief Technology Officer) to locate gaps within Cloud Engineering processes and determine solutions to eliminate them. Use IaC (Infrastructure as Code) to provide continuous delivery of resources in a reliable, repeatable, and controlled way, with fully parametrized, scripted, and productized methods of native Azure service cloud deployment. Building cloud components, networking, security, and monitoring performance in Azure that is packaged into a productized deployment method and approach. Manage system configuration templates and deployment scripts for Mortgage365 platform development and production environments. Share performance data with stakeholders to foster stakeholders to foster stability, performance, and scripts for Mortgage365 platform development and production environments. Oversee after-hours production release events, both scheduled and emergency when required, work to mitigate the need for after-hours support by implementing improvements that come from RCA post incident. Support the implementation and documentation of compliance and security standards that meet industry leading requirements including ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 27001, PCIDSS 3.0, and others. Participate in resolution of high-severity production incidents where a critical outage may require immediate response time from the team. Collaborate both within and between teams on problem solving. Automate common and repetitive processes to enable zero-touch product deployment. Share project estimates and requirements to enable accurate planning with realistic timelines. Work closely with Product and Operations teams to ensure systems are in line with the long-term strategy. Document and complete knowledge transfer to client support teams.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related position, and demonstrated knowledge of or experience in the following: · Major cloud platforms (at least one – AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) · Cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, Saas) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid) · Azure cloud services stack, specifically in use of Azure Native services such as Service Bus, Azure Cache for Redis, App Insights, App Service Plans, core networking storage, RBAC, KV and certificate management
· Modern SDLC (Software development and lifecycle) processes and code management practices. · Cloud architecture patterns and best practices · Deploying web apps to multiple production environments · Command line/scripting skills, especially in PowerShell and YAML. · Designing and maintaining configuration as code. · Software development life cycle, continuous integration and delivery. · Modern DevOps technologies and processes and related deployment within an enterprise development team. · 2 years’ experience in cloud computing, with a focus on architecture, design, and implementation.
Rate of Pay: From $94,578.00 – $125,000.00 per year. This amount meets or exceeds the prevailing wage as determined by the U. S. Department of Labor.
