We are looking for a Software Engineer II to maintain and build upon the existing solutions and innovate forward-thinking applications for our product. You will be responsible for adding functionality to our product as well as fixing bugs if they are identified. As a Tier II Software Engineer, you will be working on moderately complex tasks and introduced to developing the basic level of system design.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with other Mortgage365 engineers, product team, and customers to ensure deep understanding of their needs to create functionality that solves moderately complex problems faced by users of the platform
  • Pair with other engineers to design and execute features in smaller sized projects
  • Assist with the architecture, design and building of back-end web applications and components to support new and existing product initiatives
  • Perform software development in an Agile environment
  • Manage and prioritize daily work according to sprint backlog with significant ability to self-organize
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing platform and recommendations for improvement
  • Solve technical problems that span multiple platform systems and services
  • Deliver solutions for other engineers, allowing them to focus on experimentation and evolution of high-quality features

Your Background

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years in professional Software Engineering work experience
  • 1-3 years experience web and API architecture, ideally with C#, ASP.NET, and modern web application design
  • Large scale systems design and programming in an academic or commercial setting
  • Understanding of SOLID or similar software design patterns
  • Experience adding new features and resolving bugs in a mission-critical enterprise API
  • Some/experience managing code sets within Visual Studio or similar IDE, and source control systems such as Azure DevOps along with use of Git
  • Some experience consuming diverse APIs for multiple system integration patterns
  • Working knowledge of enterprise integration and third-party enterprise integration tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Azure and developing, deploying, and monitoring applications in Azure is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The target annual salary for this role performed in the US is $120,000-$130,000. The exact compensation will be determined by the skill and experience of qualified candidates and can change at any time based on local hiring market conditions. This role will require you to be onsite 3 days a week at our Highlands Ranch office.
